Tank Scrap
Injuries continued
One student sustained serious injuries to his left side and had to be removed from the field. Another was kicked under the chin. The cut was not the only injury. He became so delirious it required six fellow students to restrain him and put him in a car. Due to his agitated state a doctor had to sedate him in order to examine his injuries. He was later sent to the hospital. Neither of these students completed their freshman year and never returned to Purdue. One later graduated from a nearby Indiana college and became a major donor to that institution.
