Timothy P. Murphy is secretary and chief financial officer of the Charles Pankow Foundation.

From 1986 to 2000, he was chief financial officer for Charles Pankow Builders, Ltd. He was hired shortly before the effective date of the corporate reorganization that created CPBL. During this period, Murphy also handled accounting and tax issues related to Charlie Pankow's outside business interests, including Middle Ranch, MP Communications Partners, Washington Street Associates, and Webster Street Partners, all of which Mr. Murphy discusses in his interview. Murphy performed estate planning for Mr. Pankow as well.

For six years prior to joining the Pankow firm, Murphy worked for Arthur Andersen, the public accounting firm.

Murphy is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the California State Bar. He holds both a B.A. degree in accounting and a J.D. degree from Gonzaga University, and a Master of Law degree from Boston University.
